Having
more than one sex partner increases the risk of HIV infection and of
infection with other STDs including syphilis, gonorrhea, and herpes.
The presence of other STDs also increases the risk of infection with
HIV because of open sores. The more sexual partners you have, the
greater the risk of infection with any STD, including HIV.
